釤鈷磁鐵,第二代稀土永磁鐵,分為兩個材料系列:1:5型釤鈷磁鐵(SmCo5)和217 型釤鈷磁鐵(Sm2Co17)。主要特點是磁性能高、温度特性良好,最高工作溫度可達250-350攝氏度。與釹鐵硼磁鐵相比,釤鈷磁鐵更適合用於高溫工作環境。其抗腐蝕能力極強,一般不需要表面處理,適合用於各種高性能的永磁電機及工作環境複雜的應用產品。
A samarium–cobalt (SmCo) magnet, the second generation of rare earth magnet, is a strong permanent magnet made of an alloy of samarium and cobalt. They have higher temperature ratings (up to 250-350℃) and higher coercivity. With a curie temperature greater than 800℃ and it can be used in environments up to 250-350℃. Compared to the NdFeB, the corrosion resistance is better and working temperature is higher, which makes SmCo a more desirable option for certain permanent magnet motors requiring high performance in complicated environments.
